A summary
Our trip was our first family summer vacation. It was pretty darn good, though we did hit some speedbumps. But then again, if it was perfect it wouldn't have been a good family vacation to remember. Just to summarize some things; We left on the 26th of May and got back on the 16th of June, exactly three weeks. We saw all of Michael's family including siblings and spouses during our stay in Green River. We saw all of Mary's family in our meanderings except for Julie and Ivan and their kids. We traveled over 2000 miles (you do the math for money spent on gas) and all in our 14 year old Camry. Natalie watched Baby Einstein "Baby Neptune" over 10 times at least and has most of it memorized. Everyone but Mary came down with a cold the second day of our vacation and it lasted the whole trip. Michael got a sinus infection, and Natalie had a severe stomach virus that took us to Evanston hospital. We saw all the temples in Idaho, but didn't get a chance to enter any of them. Our rear tire was falling apart on the way back and we had to stop in Vegas to get new tires for the car. But aside from all this, we had a great time seeing family and people we love. It was a good vacation, and not too bad for the first one.
