Disneyland

It was Mary's birthday as you know and it was festivities left and right. We had a special surprise party on Friday night for her with dinner and dancing. Then we headed out to Disneyland for some family fun. It was kind of a present for both Mary and Natalie, since we aren't going on Natalie's b-day. It was hot and there was a ton of people, but we enjoyed our time there and had fun riding the rides and spending time with each other. We really didn't have to wait in line for rides since we went on the rides that all of us can go on, the lines went faster. Natalie had a blast and even was brave enough to go on the Star Wars ride with Dad. The only line that was ridiculous was the lone to see the princesses. Luckily, dad stood in line and mom took the girls to play at Toontown. Natalie was disappointed because she wanted to see Sleeping Beauty really bad, and they only had Belle, Ariel, and Jasmine. So it wasn't a complete bust. We probably won't be back for a while, at least until Mary's 40th b-day.

Will It Blend?

The question is, will it blend? These awe-inspiring videos are for the male demographic of the Parker blog. Some of you may have already seen these and heard of this guy. It's a shameless advert for his blenders, but then again, after watching these videos, it makes me want to go buy one. I heard about Blendtech and his videos from the BYU magazine we just got this last week. Doesn't he look like he's your bishop? Watch on, and wives, hide the blenders.

GIRLS!

These girls are pretty much awesome. It's fun to watch them grow and learn. Natalie loves playing with her BFF and the last couple of weeks have been going outside when the sprinklers were on. Emily loves to hang out with her big sister and be one of the big girls. Just a few random pictures of the girls and a video of the spinkler caper.

Blowing Dandelions

After Conference today we went outside and took a walk. Emily has just learned how to blow and loves to try and blow the dandelion seeds. It's pretty much the cutest thing ever.

The Kisser

Our little red headed wonder is growing up too fast. Lately she has started to do kissy lips and wants to give you a kiss. She knows how to sign for more food now and does it all the time even when she doesn't really want it. She can wave good-bye, and blabbers all the time about who knows what. She loves to use the rag to wipe and clean everything, including Natalie in the tub. She loves to play with her big sister, and thinks she's one of the big girls when Natalie's friends come over for preschool. She has learned to puch the front screen door open and finds great joy in escaping onto the porch. She's really part monkey because she uses her feet for everything, and if she could she would use her feet to eat with. She walks faster than ever and knows when we are coming for her because she takes off in the opposite direction as fast as her little legs can take her. She's 32" tall and weighs 23 lbs, the same size as our friend's 20 month old. We love to have this little red headed rascal in our family.

Legoland 2009!

It has been a spell since we put anything new up so here we is. For spring break a couple of weeks ago we worked. But on that Friday we took off to Legoland once more, since we had bounce-back passes and we hadn't seen everything the last time we were there (we told everyone it was for the girls but really it was for dad). It was a glorious day, cloudy and cool (perfect for these cooler acclimated creatures) and we had a grand ole time at the park. Both Natalie and Emily enjoyed themselves thoroughly. If you grew up with legos and have kids (or not) this is the place to be, and not that other-land place. Onto the pictures!

Natalie has been watching Sleeping Beauty for months now. When we saw this bust of Elvis, she said, "Look it's Prince Philip!" Well I guess he is royalty.

A really cool dragstrip where you puch the button when the green light flashes. Natalie wasted an old gentleman helping his two year old grandson at least 3 times.

They have a store dedicated to just Star Wars and Indiana Jones lego sets. When I was much younger, my friends and I would make space ships from Star Wars out of our legos. So it's strange to see whole sets to make the ships. Kind of takes the beauty out of creating with your legos. Nevertheless, I saw the Millenium Falcon and after wiping drool off my face, thought, hmmm, it'd be fun to put that together. Then I saw the price sticker. Then I thought, hmmmm, I can afford that. But Mary saw the look in my eye and dragged me off. Maybe next time I go by myself...
